The ear infections are in one ear and just had antibiotics for a middle ear infection. But I have pain in the back of that ear that is keeps coming and going, not sure what that is.

i used to have the same probs years ago, seems unrelated but it turned out to be tonsillitis for me, apparently the tonsils strain the throat area which pull the muscles up the side and back of the head causing head aches, also affecting the ears causing infections, long term tonsil problems can cause hearing loss and bad migraines, as well as other things

I suggest you go back to the dr. and have it checked out. The last thing you need is for the infection to spread....

You could have damaged your ear drums, get the doctor to check them out.
