I had been scratched by my dog,the dog is always vaccined when it shoudl be,and since I was scratched,it has been 2 months(it's a long time far more than 10 days),my dog still healthy and nothing abnormal.I haven't take any vaccine shot,I wonder if I was in danger.I don't think it is the situation that I should take vaccine,but someone told me I should no matter how the dog appeal.But according to CDC's statement:"if the dog can be confined for 10 days and healthy during this time,people should not take vaccine shot."I'm really confused . I hope there is nothing run with me.

I smoke a pack a day and I heard that smoking cause impotance. Is that true? I love smoking but I worry about this topic more than lung cancer. I'm geniuely concerned. Please no jokes and answers with medical information would be greatly appreciated.

why does my belly rumble soooo loud that every1 can hear it?? I had a cold for 10 days, as of yesterday. I was out of town and went to see an internist that a friend recommended. Doc thought that I may also have a sinus infection. He prescribed anti-biotics and gave me a flu shot at the same time. I told him that I'd heard that you can't do that, get a flu shot while sick. He said it was not really true, and that I may feel more sick for a couple of days, but both the anti-biotics for my infection and the flu shot for future flu prevention would be effective, nonetheless. Can anyone, with knowledge to that, confirm or deny?

I don't know if anyone can help but I have decided I need counselling. I have been to the doctors and am on the waiting list but it is a three month wait! Do I get my boyfriend to put me on his BUPA care? if yes is counselling even avaliable through this? or do I do it on my own back and go to a local counsellor which I think can cost anything up to £40 a go. (Quite a lot of money for what I earn and spare?). Feels like I really want to get help but there are a lot of obsticles in the way at the mo - any advice anyone?

I have been in a serious relationship for a few months. My boyfriend wants me to be on birth control before we have sex for the first time. I have tried two types in the past -- Ortho Evra (aka the patch) and Ortho Tricylin Lo. Both made me horribly sick. I was constantly nauseated, lacked energy, and had severe back pain. I want to be on "the pill" -- No vaginal ring, IUD, diaphragm, etc. But I don't know which one to try! I know I should talk to my doctor but I want to at least have an idea before I go through the exam and discussion with her.

Ok so I have HPV and am just starting my 9th month. I was fine up until this month when I had my first outbreak ever. Now I am really worried about delivering vaginally. My doc says it will be fine. But I am worried about transferring the virus to my baby! I feel like she (my doc) just can't be bothered with this. (She is a low income doc) I told her even though it is my first baby I have no problem having a cesaerean. She says no. I asked her "Can I do anything about the warts before I deliver?" (Like medicine, freezing, etc.) She says no. Even though she says I can deliver vaginally I am scared. It's not like I can change doctors. I deliver next month. Am I worrying needlessly?

Some say it came from gay people which i think is aboslute BS - it may be mainly spread by the gay community but i'm sure it did not come from them. Anyway, my bf told me that he read somewhere that some decades back, scientist were trying to create a disease to kill all black people in Africa and that it then spread wordwide from Pilots and Sailors who would travel aimlessly and have sex/rape with villagers. Do you think this is BS, whats your theory?

Mostly during winter time is that I get these static shocks,sometimes sparks r visible, arms start paining after sometime, have tried creams, oils, baby lotions, not much help. Wud appreciate if someone can help out. Need for them 2 stop or atleast cut down.

My doc told me it could be from bacterial build up with using tampons? Ive only ever had the one partner, who has been faithful throughout our time together, as have i.
Which means, a) he has contracted it before our relationship
b) i have contracted it from another source... and i havnt been with anyone else.

Are there other ways you can contract this STI?
