I have been in a serious relationship for a few months. My boyfriend wants me to be on birth control before we have sex for the first time. I have tried two types in the past -- Ortho Evra (aka the patch) and Ortho Tricylin Lo. Both made me horribly sick. I was constantly nauseated, lacked energy, and had severe back pain. I want to be on "the pill" -- No vaginal ring, IUD, diaphragm, etc. But I don't know which one to try! I know I should talk to my doctor but I want to at least have an idea before I go through the exam and discussion with her.

Ask for many a diffrent hormone combination. Mostlikey its a certain hormone thats makeing you sick. Just try to pin point it

i stopped taking the pill because it diminished my sex drive. i now use spermicides. your doctor should have a good idea of what would be good for you.
