By coincidence my work location has scheduled a blood drive for Monday and will be giving flu and tetanus shots on Thursday of the same week.

I donate both whole blood as well as platelets a few times a year. Being in a job where I both travel and have contact with many people, the flu shot is a good precaution for me, and it has been more than 10 years since I last had a tetanus shot.

I have heard there is a small chance of developing flu-like symptoms after getting a flu shot and was wondering if this might be more likely to occur, or if the symptoms could be worse, or if there are any other risks associated with being innoculated for both flu and tetanus while the body is in the process of replenishing the red blood cells lost when the pint of blood was donated.

What kind of tests do they give you to see if you have it? Also, do you go to a doctor or a psycologist? Can my regular doctor tell me if I have it and what can they do for me?

I have anxiety & panic disorder. Sometimes I know what I'm stressed/anxious about. Other times I will just wake up feeling like crap & so physically anxious & I just don't know why. Everyone always says that anxiety is your subconscious trying to tell you something & you should ask yourself what is really bothering you to alleviate the anxiety. But I don't know what's wrong with me. I sit around & worry that I have every disease in the book, but I know it's just symptoms of anxiety.

I have read that it also has seratonin reuptake inhibiting qualities and prozac was developed because of benadryl. So if your doctor tells you to take it for an extended period of time in order to sleep my question is does it boost seratonin levels? I would think it would to some degree.

I've always had problems with sleep tremmors. I have such horrible vivid dreams and I wake up in a terrible cold sweat, worn out, and out of breath. They got a lot worse for the few months after I gave birth to my daughter. They got a little better with time, but now I get them ever time I have my cycle. And the cold sweats are just so uncomfortable to go through. Is there any thing I can do to prevent this from happening?

my little cousin has been suffering with outbursts for about 3months now, he is 18 years old and i think it is a result from depression, his father is not in his life and he has alot of anger twords him and his mother for that, he has ran completely across town in order to "save his father" he said, he has waken up and not have any recolection of who my mother was, whom he was staying with at this time, he charged at her, said she wasnt his autni, and that he didint know her and forced her out of the house, he smokes marijuana, and was put in the hospital at the time of his first out burst, they said he had a chemical embalance, and this was causes the out bursts, but now he is in a center, for children with mental issues, and he seems to be back to normal, accept he cant remember all of the outbursts basically none of them, he remembers bits and peices of time, is it possible for depression to cause memor loss? what other possible things could be wrong here, what is best for us to do?

I'm not too fond of taking pills every day. Are there other ways that are just as effective in getting rid of depression or at least helping it in some way?

I did Masturbation for last 6 years ...daily twice for first three years and then daily once in last three years..now even daily once..I am unable to concentrate on my studies and I am feeling that I had lost my talents and memory power that I had before handling this habit...I visited some adult only sex websites 8 times..but now not...I was keen on seeing the bath of neighbouring women for some days..but feeling it as a guilt., I abondened this habit of watching girls..I don't have any bad habits like drinks, using drugs , smoking etc., Also I dont have sex with anyone till..Now I am 20..But I am afraid of my marriage in future..any defect to my marriage life will be ? Now..I am afraid of my studies..because I am unable to concentrate on studies..I hate the teen-age itself due to my bad habits...What can I do ? Can one completely forget the habit of masturbation till marriage..? Is it possible..?

My friend's son has ringworm on the side of his face. She has invited us over and I'm afraid to go because I think it's contagious. My husband and I don't want to get it and we especially don't want our little girl to get it. My other friend thinks it's silly and doesn't think it's that contagious. But I thought you could get it from even coming into contact with something the person who has ringworm has touched. I feel guilty for avoiding going to my friend's house, but I really don't want to get ringworm, am I making the right decision in not going? Does anyone know the best treatment for ringworm and how long until it goes away with proper treatment?
