yes i did and i keep telling everyone i know to stop refilling plastic bottles to store liquids in the fridge
i may be OK to refill a water bottle once or twice in a one day period to keep hydrated if you are out but otherwise toss that bottle
everyone asks me why and i tell them that once the original seal on the cap is broken bacteria can enter and contaminate the contents especially if you drink out of them
plastic cannot be sterilized or subjected to high temperature washing like glass bottles can

I always refill mine & nothing bad has happened to me yet. I also eat rare meat, unpasteurized cheese & (gasp!) use plastic containers in the microwave.
