I woke up this morning and my eyes are bright red and a bit swollen. Plus they ache a little bit. I wear contacts and never take them out (except when it's time to change them.) I know I should, and I will starts, but do you have any suggestions on how I can get them back to normal so I don't look like a freak? ASAP!!!!

i take seasonale usually for my b.c. pills....well about 2-3 weeks ago i missed 2 pills and had my period. now im on the white strip of pills (supposed to make you have a period) and ive taken 2 but havnt had my period yet. i have had sex lately though....but not protected...so whats wrong? are my pills out of wack with me?

It started a couple of years ago, as the nail on my left thumb grows out, it splits at about the point where it separates from the thumb. I can trim the nail down to below the split, but it always comes back as the nail grows out. The split is always in the same place. I can see a small 'ridge' on the thumb below where it splits which seems to be a 'weak point' on the nail.

There is no pain, unless I snag it and it splits too much.

This is not a calcium problem. I love cheese and regularly eat yogert and milk.

On a final note, I heard a news report lately that split or discolored nails can indicated serious medical problems (such as kidney issues). However, since it is only one nail, and is so consistent, this seem unlikely.

I went to the hospital about a year ago with a heart attack and the doc prescribed me medication for high blood pressure and plavix. I had to return to the hospital a few months later with a kidney stone, The bill was very high and my insuarance paid it all except 1,100.00. I did not have the money to pay the rest of the bill and it came to the point the hospital was wanting thier money in a bad way and was calling every day. I wanted to pay so I made a deal with the lady that called to cut my prescriptions in order to pay it out monthly, now my doctor wants me to set another appointment so he can check me out and I cant tell him what I did because I know he will be mad. I have to pay the money or get turned over to a collection agency and they are worse than the hospital about dunning you for money. Should I tell the doctor or go on with may plan?

Okay I went to the doctor today, and I told her I think I have a yeast infection. I'm only a teen so she asks are you sexually active? I say no. She looks at me and says ARE YOU SURE? No I don't know if I'm having sex. She told me it's very uncommon for virgins to get yeast infections. My question is...is she right? Do yeast infections have anything to do with sex or is it normal to get them if you're not doing that stuff?

Im wondering. I was cleaning ma earrings when i pulled one off on accident. My ear looks the same just wit a hole. I tried to put it back in but it was hard at first to line it up right, so i felt my ear between my fingers. It feels like there is a ball between my skin like around the peircing. Im wondering if that is how a keloid starts or not..my ear hasnt swollen or anything at all just a lil pus which the doctor told me would be fine if i kept cleaning. So, does a keloid start inside the ear? I have trouble turnin them or nothing like that

yes once in a while i get very very bad constipation were it hurts so bad you cant walk straight cause it hurts so bad... i dont do it that often maybe once a month if that maybe every couple months what is foods high in fiber or a good medican i can take i took metamucil and a other laxative yesterday they helped the cramping to where it hurts a lil bit but it still hurts a lil and i still never went to the bathroom! and i really dont wanna pay $1000 or so to go to the hospital for them to get me the liquid drink the gave me before....thats why to much money just for that

ok let me start off about 2 months ago i was diagnosed with a yeast infection my first one. Then after that i have been feeling mildly irritated, itching and discharge clear even more after intercourse. i already set a doctor's appt w/ my doc but this happens more frequently after intercourse.. im only sexually active with my husband! do you think it could be an on going yeast infection or what? and also i have been in a lot of stress please give me some ideas i am really concerned!!

My doc says she didn't see anything irregular (still waiting on some results, though) and the last doc said the same thing. None of these things are painful to me, but I still bleed. Why am I so sensitive down there and is it normal to bleed (slightly, but DEFINATELY noticeable) at all more than 24 hours after all of these things?

I had high blood pressure, but the medication my doctor prescribed for it is keeping it normal. 120/75. I have to see my doctor every 6 months or he will not refill my prescription. I go to his office, tell him i'm in excellent health. He checks my blood presure, he then says its great 120/75. re-writes the prescription, then charges me $75.00 for less than 5 mins. time. Is this ridiculace or just plain legal robbery? I checked prices at other doctors in the area and they all charge about the same price. Why aren't blood pressure pills sold over the counter? It's not like I am going to snort them or shoot them up and get high. I just want to stay alive.

I've always suspected that I've had social anxiety but never thought anything of it, I've just learned to deal with it and forced myself to act normally...but it's getting worse and I think it's a little out of control now, it's really affecting my career...as in I can't get started because of it...and it's really stressing me out.
