Can be helpful for a short time (a couple days), and periodically, but be sure to use lots of good sources of calcium(celery, dk. leafy greens) and protein(legumes) and 100%whole grain sources for your B vitamins which are required to help you metabolize all your other dietary nutrients (or you will lose energy ,too, if you aren't careful) and don't limit yourself too long because you can really miss out on some important proteins, vitamins, and minerals with a limited, unvaried diet. Nine days is a long time for such a diet without careful study to be sure you are getting all the nutrients your body needs. You also may need more sleepon that diet. Most people don't get enough fruits and vegetables.(5 servings a day of both isn't enough for an active lifestyle and most don't get that!)To lose weight-better to cut out junk food(junky carbs like sugar and white bread and pasta and hydrogenated and animal fats), drink lots of water, some skim milk and get regular exerciseand take vitamin/mineral supplements.

you proly have a few things here. your parents are at least slightly overweight right? so you proly have bad eating habits ontop of your genes to be a "bigger" person. nothing is wrong with your body type. infact there are 4 different bodies people can have for the sake of saving time ill just name a couple hypersthenic body, is a large build, barrel chested. my reasoning for this is that you may always have a bigger build. NOW, you can define yourself by a lot of diffferent ways. #1 DONT FAST. terrible idea. your body will do the opossite. It will start to think it needs to store fat, cause it doesnt get food often. ok so fruits/veggies is a good idea these are healthy foods. eat in smaller portions throughout the day, such as morning cereal liek multigrain cheerios or crispex or whatever their called. along with orange juice n other fruits, if you get hungry between meals eat an apple or something, but don't eat 3 huge portion (breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) by eating smaller portions throughout the day you will keep your metabolism going and burning more calories throughout the day. Also drink a good amout of water! #2 BE FIT- do active things like outside games or anything that keeps you moving, or you could try activities like running, walking and sprinting for a bit, or swimming. or definitely wokring out would be good for you as well. Higher reps would be good for you, not too much weight. anyways theres a lot more to this. and if you really want to change yourself and you MOST CERTAINLY CAN, then at least folow some of these steps. there are thousands on things online you can look up about workout plans or exercises. Exercising is a part of lie and humans were destined to do this. hope this helps you buddy!

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.

On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.

Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

lmfao! another fad. listen check here.. it's called the food pyramid. it's a schematic/reference for what's considered a well balanced diet.

only a well balanced diet works. this is a life term diet along with proper hydration and exercise will you maintain your weight and lose the unessesary weight and have a healthy lifestyle without starving to death and then gaining 2 times your weight prior to any diet.

this diet is not going to make you starve, be a miracle like lose 100lbs in a month (you wouldn't want that anyways, besides after losing that much you're either dead or binding to curb your hunger then you'd be 200lbs afterwards)

http://www.mypyramid.gov/

following this standard you'll lose the weight, keep it off and not sell your soul for an oreo.. why is that because you don't need to eliminate the foods you enjoy.. the key is moderation.

and stay active and drink that water too.

this is the most nutritional formula out there and it's an old standard!

didn't you maw yell at you about eating yer veggies or not dessert!

:D

stick with this.. don't listen to those fads.. where you got to stop eating something completely you do that your body will starve and fight like crazy to keep the fats in your system. soon as you eat anything you enjoy POW your weight will increase.

and this will keep you system clean.

sweating also helps remove toxins.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

First of all, who is "THEY"?
You know, as well as every other person in America, that the safest way is through proper eating and exercise.
Eating only fruits and veggies can help in short term, but it is not easy to keep it off if you do add other food back in, even slowly. Your metabolism will slow down, and when you start eating again, you'll gain it all back and maybe more.
Take a good look at yourself in a fulll ength mirror. Look at the image as if it were the body of some female that you do not know. Now, what would you think that female should change to look better?? Now go do it. grab some running shoes and hoof it to thin-town.
You can do it. be the envy of all your friends!!!

Well yes. Fruits and veggies will help to detox your body and will also increase the fiber in your diet which will help you loose weight. You can also keep your body hydrated by drinking plenty of water. This will help with removing the fat your body is burning and help to remove it as waste. You should also start to build more muscle. Muscle burns calories and specifically fat calories. If you start building muscle this will help your body burn fat all the time. In order to build muscle you need to consume protein. Of course your best source of protein is from meat sources. Just make sure you are eating lean meats like chicken and fish. But your body needs protein. Sure the fruits and veggies will be good to start getting your body leaner but make sure you are consuming protein. I also highly recommend the 5 to 6 small meals a day. Don't over eat and burn more calories than you are consuming. Loosing weight is more of a ongoing discipline for better health. Envision what you desire your body to look like and create that picture in your mind and make it happen.

I don't think it's healthy because it may put your body into shock. You need protein as well as fruits and veggies. If you decide to try something like that, eat plenty of nuts to get the needed protein if you're going to cut out meat, that might be a healthier option.

If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate, and plan your diet carefully. Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx
