Of course it is. Everyone has natural sexual urges, and masturbation is by far the safest way to satisfy these urges. Sure, we can tell teens to abstain, and to use condoms if they don't, but masturbation is much less risky than condoms or birth control. Also, I think it would be better for teens that aren't going to abstain to masturbate rather than have sex at an early age, with someone they don't love, and end up regretting it later.
In fact, I think teens should be taught that masturbation is an alternative to abstinence. Not that we should teach them 'how', just that is a safer option than sex.

Yes, masturbation is normal. Masturbation is something most every person does at some points in their lifetime, both boys and girls. Masturbation is a normal and healthy way for you to feel sexually aroused, to get sexual pleasure and to release your sexual feelings. It is also a very good way to learn about your body and what feels good and what doesn't.
Both boys and girls usually don't talk about the fact that they masturbate.
Masturbation can help relieve stress and:
Relieve menstrual cramps
Help for insomnia (i.e. when a person is having trouble falling asleep)
Stimulate the immune system to help build up resistance to common infections.
Release mood elevating hormones
Reduce embarrassing spontaneous erections for teen males
Reduce the number of unwanted wet dreams for young
BUT
If you are spending a lot of your time masturbating and it is interfering with your school work, your job, or the rest of your life, then you might want to stop and think about why you are doing it so much. A person can become obsessed with anything.

Not only is it normal, it's probably the most popular bodily activity next to peeing. If it seems abnormal it's just because it's a private activity that people don't talk much about. But behind closed doors, it's the world's favorite pastime.

ABSOLUTELY! IT JUST ISN'T TALKED ABOUT LIKE WHEN BOYS DO IT, BECAUSE THEY ARE EXPECTED TO. WELL GOODBYE DOUBLE STANDARD, SO IF YOU WANT TO AND IT FEELS GOOD GO FOR IT. DON'T FEEL BAD,GUILTY OR DIRTY BECAUSE YOU DO. YEARS AGO PEOPLE NEVER TALKED ABOUT FEMALE MASTURBATION AND A LOT OF GIRLS GREW UP INTO WOMEN THINKING IT WAS WRONG. ITS NOT.

Masterbation is sinfull, though in the norm rang of human behavior. There are other things more constructive to fill your time with, don't give in to sin.

if it feels good to you then it's normal. And I don't think this needs to be in the std's category.
