I am only 14 and already have had it twice and it hurts really bad! My dad has had it before and i explanned my symptoms and he said it was acid reflex! What causes it? Can i prevent it? Is it weird for a kid my age to get it?

I have tried all the meds docs have prescribed,including Zelnorm.Nothing works.Though a cure would be nice,I'm just looking for something to relieve the pain and discomfort,at least enough to let me have somewhat of a normal life.My type of IBS is with constipation,not diarrhea.

Okay so i only ever leave the house in periods between 2 days and two weeks, is this like a problem? I dont necessarily fear outside just dont wanna be in the public eye of ppl who are just goin to judge me and stare at me, i hate people.Ive got nothing to go outside for, but is this staying in a small space all the time a problem?

I recently got a conair curling iron. Yesterday I tried curling my hair twice, but wasn't successful. After a while, my hair smelled really wierd... I've washed it with like all the kinds of shampoo and cream rinse I have. I even washed it with salon shampoo and cream rinse and it still smells! Hi..it's like my 20th time trying to quit smoking - I have tried just about everything and now am attempting the patch. It's been only just a few hours since my last smoke and I am going nuts (just typing this I thought about a cigarette at least a dozen times).

Does any one have any tips or advice to offer a newly liberated non-smoker stay clean? Have you or someone you know successfully quit smoking? If so, how did you cope with all the stress, anxiety, and cravings ? When can I expect the cravings to drop (even if just a little bit)? I have been a smoker on & and off for over 12 years.

I filled out an online job application and within two hours I received a phone call and a job offer. I didn't expect such a quick response and thought I had time to at least take a first responder course before hearing back from anyone. I sorta lied on the application by telling them I had three years experience in another city, but I really need the job! I don't want to be a baker my whole life. So now they want me to fill an E.M.T. position starting tomorrow.

What is wrong with me...for the past year or so I've been worried so much that my stomach will make loud embarrassing noises in class. I don't know why I'm so worried! Since I've been at my current school, my stomach has made ONE somewhat noticable noise. That's it! And nobody cared. Why do I worry about this? My mother is home from the nursing home after suffering a sever stroke to the right side of her brain. We have brought her home to die, as she did not want a feeding tube or IVs. She has gone almost a week with only smalll amounts of water (3teaspoons mabe 4 times a day). I feel guilty asking, "how long is this going to take?" But several family members have taken off of work to be with her.
