Possibly Epstein Barr Virus which is the virus that causes a condition commonly called "mononucleosis". Symptoms can include enlargement of the spleen, liver issues, swollen glands, fever, fatigue and more. If the disease becomes chronic, often called "chronic EBV" it can result in long lasting fatigue and swollen glands. The fever does not usually last too long but the swollen glands can last for 6 months to a year possibly.

Knowing what the disease is will not help much. Knowing the cause and the remedy will help more.
The removal of the spleen will have caused some imbalance in the body, which will take time to rectify itself.
If its been going on for two months, it means that the cause remains. In cases like this, a good clean-out and detox is usually the answer.
Start by fasting. Consume nothing but freshly squeezed fruit juice and water for at least three days.
During this time, do a web search for detox. There are hundreds of different ways of cleaning the liver, the colon, the kidneys, all without drugs or surgery, and all perfectly safe.
A natural cure is the best cure, especially as you have tried the conventional route through the doctor, which failed, as it usually does.
Best of luck.
If you get stuck, join the educate-yourself forum, and ask a question there. There are hundreds of experts on natural healing, and you will almost certainly get the information you are looking for.
Good luck. I hope you are returned to full health soon

Seek a second opinion. Then a third, fourth, or ever how many it takes to come up with some relief to your problems. Sometimes doctors are stumped and do guess work. Obviously there is something going on here. Don't settle on one opinion!! Good luck !

A virus usually doesn't last for two months. I would go to another doctor and get a second opinion.

Get a second opinion. If you have only seen a GP, go to a specialist. If you think it might be cancer, talk to an oncologist.
