I get like that sometimes.. I get nervous to go out alone. I think it's a lot to do with social anxiety. I too feel like people judge me. I too hate most people and get really annoyed with them. I seem to feel less like this when I get some exercise. Maybe try some exercise.. do an exercise tape, or just take a quick walk around the block. You might start to feel better.

I don't think that you should be feeling like you're the only person who feels that way about the outside. For example me when I was a little kid I really used to be an outdoor girl. I enjoyed the outside and people. But now I am totally terrified of it. I am actually worried if it has turned into a phobia. And I think the best thing we could do for ourselves would be self-therapy. Look up the different kinds of phobias, the causes and how you can rid yourself from them. I really really wish I could get over my problem because I feel that it's ruining my social life and it's sort of holding me back from doing the things I want to get out there and do.

I heard that nightmares involving teeth falling out stem from a fear that you are unattractive. I have the teeth dreams a lot. I wonder if your fear of being in public has anything to do with sub-conscious self-esteem issues. The two would be related if that is the case.
Self-esteem is difficult to build on your own. I would talk to some friends or family members about it. Sometimes just talking about things that bother you can help them fade away.
When you go out, watch other people. If you just oberve people from a distance you will notice that many people are awkward or uncoordinated. If you watch other people without judging, you will begin to see the humanity in all people, and it will turn your own focus away from you. I think that could help you, just noticing that everybody is human, most people have troubles, and the beautiful leggy blonde that you are comparing yourself to probably hates the way she looks.

Sounds like you are suffering from social anxiety. I have been there and trust me, I know exactly how you feel. It's as if your home is your safe place. I was able to conquer my social anxiety by reading a lot of books on the subject as well as books on raising my self-esteem. Once your self-esteem is strong, you get to the point where as long as you are all right, it really doesn't matter what others think about you. The best book I have read on self-esteem is Maximum Self-esteem by Jerry Minchinton. Also check out Worry Busters at http://www.wayneburke.com
for a lot of resources to help you to stop worrying about what people think about you and start being a happy person. Good Luck.

wow, I used to have the fear of my teeth falling out...I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one! The rest of your problem could actually be a psychological one. try to get some help on the mental health side. Not that your mentally ill but there are a lot of phobias that people have and most often therapy can help. good luck

I don't know about the teeth thing, but it sounds like a phobia. Google it or talk to a doctor, helpline, someone like that.
As far as isolating yourself goes, I have been doing it for ages. I know it's not good for me but I can't help it. I just can't stand to be around people. I know they are judging me, I can feel it. I am trying to get help but it's hard to do.
My suggestion for you? Start by using the phone. Call a helpline, mental health crisis line (they are in the front of the phone book [I'm in Aus]) & talk to someone. I won't lie to you, getting over this will take a while & won't be easy but we can do it if we want to.
I know I want to - how about you?

honestly, I think you should see a psychiatrist to treat your unreasonable fears of seemingly random things.
Go outdoors, no one is watching/judging you. If there is any, they are weirdos and just ignore them. If you coop yourself indoors too much, you will definitely get mentally sick.
