Health - 18 June 2006

Due to a heart condition and medication I was on in middle school, I wasn't as active as I had wished to be. Now that I've had heart surgery and am off medication, I really want to work on my endurance (which is pretty bad...i do a 12 minute mile on a GOOD day...) . How should I go about improving this? How often, how long, etc. should I run, and for what distance? How much should I increase it every day? I'm open to ANY suggestions!

for myself i trusted a doctor to help and make better and he almost toke my life he put a pacemaker in me and it went bad in only two months and then after i kept going to him seeing was everything okay he kept saying yes then i got really sick got put back in the hospital the pacemaker was bad they dope up with pain medicine after two days they drugs test me then he accused me of taking drugs i was so sick i called my mom crying and i told her what said my mom rush up and all hell broke loose i was taking 27 different medicine plus all the pain medicine the only drugs i was taking is the one they was giving me he toke pacemaker out but he left the wires in he didnt check them or nothing i went home two weeks later i got rel real sick i thought i had the flu my fever was104 and my home nurse rush me to the hospital i was badly infected from the wire he had left in me. my family refuse his help he had did enough damage to me.im not able to work. what should i do?

My two year old son severely bit his tongue, causing some considerate bleeding at first. The bleeding stopped after a couple of minutes, but he's in some discomfort. I understand the mouth tends to heal quickly, but how do I reduce the pain in his mouth?

So many times I have heard someone talk about how it is terrible when someone gets a disease. And how brave they are to cope with it. Even if it isn't something permenant or life threatening. Then the same person will tell a person with a mental illness that it is all in their head and they need to get over it. After meeting a good friend who has a mental illness, and watching him shake like a leaf and go into sweats if he doesn't get his meds on time, I can hardly believe he is just a weak person who needs to "get over it." So the main question is, do you think that people with diseases are more entitled to respect for handling their illness than people with mental illnesses?

I'm a teenager that loves to go to the beach and loves swimming.
I also love wearing tank tops.
But i have a serious problem. I have red bumps on my armpits.
They look almost like pimples and they are really itchy.
After I shave, they get red and I have to shave so I really don't know what to do.

Please help and I need serious answers.
