My husband also does this... I wonder if you have acid reflux and aren't aware of it.

GERD or acid reflux is the most likely answer.

other possibilities are allergies, allergy to one of the foods you ate, post nasal drip.

Best to see a doctor.

your probably going too long between meals. i use to do that and the spices would cause me to cough really bad bc my throat was sensitive

YOu may have asthma or allergy to some kind of food. Too much anxiety can contribute to this as well

You eat to fast. Eat slow and in moderation.
