I have TMJ really bad. Sometimes my jaw pops out of place when I yawn.I have horrible headaches and jaw pain. I've also suffered with ringing ears and hearing loss. The problem has just been getting worse and I know it's time to get it fixed. I have two problems:I need to find a dentist that works with patients that can't open their mouths wide and also I need to find a dentist who will finance any work I need done to correct the TMJ. Any suggestions? I live in Cleveland, Ohio

Please help! I had knee pain and didn't have health insurance. I waited for a few weeks and hoped it would go away...and it didn't. Then I realized I should get health insurance in case it got worse. Please keep in mind that I have NEVER saw a doctor or health care professional about my knee. I found out today that my insurance is active and I want to see an orthopedic MD right away. My question is this: If I go to the doctor and get something done (like an MRI) would the insurance company try to argue that a potential injury is a pre-existing condition b/c the pain started b4 the insurance?

Please keep in mind that the glossary insurance company's definition of a pre-existing condition is: " Any medical condition or injury for which medical advice, diagnosis, care or treatment, including the use of prescription drugs was recommended or received from a healthcare professional during the six (6) months immediately preceding the effective date of your medical insurance coverage."

1. Sometimes I Say words Backwards.
2. While studying I have trouble concentrating and always have daydreams.
3. Sometimes I read words backwards.
4. I have trouble doing simple calculations, I once said 3+8=9
5. I have trouble forming my thoughts into words.

The thing is that doesn't happen to me all time, it's like 40% of the time. Does that make me dyslexic?

I took my cousin who has down-syndrome for a walk today and when we got back, she had this little black bump under her skin. I got suspicious about it being a tick. Her mother took her to the hospital and doctors examined her and said: “it might be an insect, but it not a tick, TAKE HER HOME AND have her take a shower and try to take the insect out yourself!!!!!!!!!” never mind the carelessness of those doctors (with whom I will have a talk tomorrow), we finally were about to take out the insect. It was a light brown, shrimp shaped, insect. The problem is that we missed a little bit of its body and regardless of our effort we couldn’t take it out. Any advice on what it could have been and what we should do? If it the pest had lime disease, would a blood test show it this soon?

That you can advise others when you yourself feel lost and alone? I feel like that sometimes. But I must admit, not always. Maybe there's hope yet, lol.

I read a book which said that if you have to change your sleep patterns, your odds of getting cancer go way up.

I know there are a lot of us who have taken a job like that for a year or more and think we have adjusted OK. Sometimes there is a killer schedule like midnight to morning one week; early starts the next - no effort made to plan a transition.

Will this damage us long-term? The book read like it was recognised and would eventually be common knowledge. Huh, a bit late for us all! Am I right to be wary?

You always hear of such things with firemen or police or army being put down to stress. But they are groups who are constitutionally expected to have no right to object. When they die, they are honored. How fair is that? How much of the stress is from weird schedules?

Is distorting your sleep patterns a trigger-factor for cancer? It's a scary thought, because it is so preventable. And do people who sleep longer, live longer, as a group?

I was diagnosed with cancer of the larynx in its final stages in April 2000. I was by error given twice the amount of radiation a human can take in his lifetime, I then had to have a tracheostomy as I had refused the removal of my voice box. I then landed up with Peritonites which almost killed me. I then had a major fungal infection behing my brains at my nape of the neck - another life taking threat. I then began bleeding non stop from my mouth, nose, throat and the doctors got my family together for last good byes. I always bounced back. I as on date breathe through a hole in my throat called a "stoma" and have not even had a sip of water in the last six years as both the food and air passages have closed down. I feed through a tube inserted in my stomach called a "peg". I am a fitness freak and work out for an hour everyday and run a good 4 km. Can anyone try and explain why am I still alive? I mantain my health, am physically fit and work normally and do not feel handicaped.
