Oh, people do all sorts of things like that. It's great that she trusts you and likes you enough to try out a fantasy of hers about you both. If it becomes normal for you both, it's totally OK. The thing is to enter into the enjoyment of the moment.
Hopefully it's not painful for you, (although unexpected!).
Or for her - she might have been told that this is the "right way" to "do it". You might have been told something different. What if you were told that women enjoy sex only if you suddenly rub their left ear?
Would you have the courage to try it for her sake, or decide all on your own that it sounds silly and not ever try it? I'm making that up, but you see what I mean, she is at least introducing some variety. Maybe she's hinting she'd like something different. Talk it over together! You are being intimate together, after all, or what's the whole point?
And do try out the many other positions that might happen between you. Only think how disabled people have to experiment? It's all about finding what works for both of you. Like childbirth, nothing is ever as simple as you would think from watching TV.
Don't bother obsessing about normality! No one is ever going to ask that question on a census form, so don't worry!
