As my new hobby, i am making wood block prints (search 4 Gwen Frostic for more) and i need a good woodcarving set.

Anyone know any good Cheaper ones? I was able to do my first with a carving knife, but that takes too long and is too sloppy.

So I want to purchase a silk screen press and I found one for around $160 but its made out of wood ( I don't know if a wooden press is good). Is it worth buying, pros, and cons or should I stick with the metal ones. I'm new to the Silk Screen Industry I want to print t-shirts for myself and my school. By the way it is a single station with 4 colors. So is it worth buying? Thank you for your time and your help is greatly appreciated.

I did these when I was young and have forgotten. I know that you start with five strands of embroidery floss, fold them over and tie a knot in the end so you have five loops. I remember holding some of the loops over fingers on my right hand and some on my left. Then you put loops over or through other loops to make the pattern. It ends up looking like braids on all four sides. I have searched the internet but can't find this specific pattern! Thank you to anyone who knows how to do this and can remind me :)

I've recently made a purse out of duct tape and I would really like to paint it but I'm pretty sure that regular old acrylic paint isn't going to stick well and will probably ended up chipping off.

Is there any way to prime the painting area or anything to coat the paint with afterward or even a special type of pant I can use to be able to paint this purse?

Anything?

I sell handcrafted food candles, soaps, dolls, potpourri, and other primitive goods and I am looking to get started doing craft shows. I have no idea how much inventory to take to a show that lasts this long. I have only had experience with church bazaars and flea markets and I usually always take too much stuff. How do I make sure that I don't bring to little for a show this long?

I have a blue 55 gallon drum. I want to use it to make into a stage prop size roll of film. Im going to paint it black. How can i make the negative part? I want it to look like a negative strip coming out from the drum and somehow apply oversize photos on it to make it look more real. this will be outside so it needs to be durable. its also for charity so it needs to be done cheap.

I started this sweater a week ago and I am at a point in the pattern where I think I messed up. Under the neck shaping part, the first row says

"Sl the first marker, k19, and place the next 21 sts on a stitch holder"

When I get to the part that says place the next 21 sts on a stitch holder, it is in the middle on one of the sleeves. Should it be in the body stitches or and i suppose to take those stitches off of the sleeve?

Thanx!!
