im just a beginner and my farm should come complete with animals and all. this is to be a present for my friend, he loves farm and its animals... any idea?

I know there are books about origami that have a lot of farm animals but these books are not always available, but check the library if you get stuck.
There is a lot of on-line information, and while I could not find a site with farm animals, you can follow links on the sites I have found till you have all the animals you want.

Consider whether you wish for the animals to be printed or origami white. If you want printed, you'll need to purchase, find, or print your own papers.
How will you present it? Do you want it to kept and convenient for storing and/or moving? I'd suggest an accordion-fold book, one that could unfold sideways to 6' or more but fold down to about the size of a couple of VHS tape cases. It could stretch out on a mantel or wall for display and still fit into carry-on luggage.
Save the fancy printing for the background. Items can be affixed with Post-a-Note [TM] adhesive or with Velcro [TM] dots if you wish it to be possible to remove them for examination. Otherwise, glue them in place.
Wildlife too? I'm recalling half a dozen different patterns for rabbits. :-)

go to an arts and crafts store near you and buy loads of origami paper. Then go to the library (or search it on the internet) and find different origami characters. Good luck with that present! :D
