I've recently made a purse out of duct tape and I would really like to paint it but I'm pretty sure that regular old acrylic paint isn't going to stick well and will probably ended up chipping off.

Is there any way to prime the painting area or anything to coat the paint with afterward or even a special type of pant I can use to be able to paint this purse?

Anything?

Call a paint store and ask them. I would suggest a paint that is made for vinyl or plastic might work, maybe you could sort of scuff up the surface a little with a fine grade of sand paper.

Your best bet would be to buy colored duct tape and make another purse using the same pattern as the original but just customize the colors as you go. Just about any type of paint will peel off duct tape within a month or two.

You have to watch your appendix first, as far as painting a purse made out of duct tape?, i would say forget about it, go get a cheap purse and customise it..

I would try some vynil spray paint after putting on a coat of adhesion promoter which is used to make paint stick to all
automotive surfaces.

Paint isn't going to work. Get permanent marking pens. They come in many different colors now.

bog standard primer will do it or if you're not using too much you can use oil paint without thinning it too much (just enough so it goes on evenly)
