How to do valley folds and mountain folds.....

I need help with the 6th diagram!!!! How does it end up like that! How do i make it end up like that?

This is a mountain fold ^. This is a valley fold v.

I'm not sure what went wrong for you. It worked for me. Did you put in all the creases before you started the actual folding? Are you lifting only the top paper when you start #6?

In the 5th drawing there are arrows pointing < and > and ^.
Look at the solid horizontal line directly above the ^. The line represents a crease from the previous step.

That crease also needs to be a valley fold. When you raise the tip (that's just above the ^) all the way up, with the valley fold I just mentioned, the two sides should collapse into the form of the 6th figure.

PM me if it doesn't work. It should work. If it doesn't, it's my fault for poor communication. Keep trying.
