The craft must center around Maple Syrup, Maple trees, and/or Maple leaves. Reply soon, I need good Ideas.

I'm really interested in crafts - making clay stuffs. I've tried paper clay which is good. But when i applied that paint onto it, it cannot touch water or the paint will come out.
I was wondering if anyone know what type of clay is good, and what type of paint should i use ? (so that the colour will not pale off.)
I am finding clay that will harden on itself.

I hope to make a mother's day present. so i hope people will help me (:

here's a picture who uses clay but it looks very real: (i was wondering if anyone what is the clay used and paint ?)

I love trains! I am almost 50 and I got my first one a month ago - shocked my husband that I liked them! I have the "Polar Express." We also have some LGB, O scale, a couple of HO and a Z scale (Disneyland). My "Hogwarts Express" should be here in a couple of weeks.

Just curious if there are any other train nuts out there!

I have recently seen some ice stacking videos, and I wish to join in on this palooza. Anyway, I got some dice (8 total, blue and red).

My problem is I can't find any cups. Now I haven't stacked before (the cup stacking ,.aka. the pyramid cups) But I believe most of the people I have seen are using those, but Im not sure.

If anyone does this I'd love to get some tips for beginners, thanks!

Part 2

Pen Spinning. I cna pertly do this one, but im unsure if spinning a pen around my thumb and back into my hand is technically pen spinning.. well i guess it is, but w/e.

Again, any tips on type sof pens ( I just use my Pilot G-2 pen or a smooth aluminum pen) I am unsure of any special pen type that helps for certain things.. But agian, tips are very welcomed.

Thanks again!

In the US, where can you get golden matte gel medium? Or even just matte gel medium?

I checked in Hobby Lobby today, and when I asked a store associate where I could find it, I was lead to the TEXTILE medium. Kind of not what I'm looking for, but thanks.

I'm using it on tile, so textile medium really is in the opposite way I'm headed.

Any ideas where I can get it, other than the internet?
Also, where the heck would it be in a store?

Frustrating, frustrating, frustrating!!

i have a pattern that in one of my knitting books for afghans. it is read with a chart. it is said to be an easy pattern. this is the part i get confused with, i am not a good chart reader. ( after i knit six rows, it says beg chartwork repeat between red line 8 times) i have to cast on 97 stitches.(work eight rows rep) 20 times, rep rows 1-7 then knit 7 rows.) i don't understand what they mean. the chart has 8 rows.with stitch keys.but about half way it is blocked off with a red square. i do not know what to do and when to start when i get to that part. please can anyone help?

I got a roll of them from the bank today, since it was a certified bank roll, i figured the coins would be uncirculated. Well they appear to be uncirculated except that the coins have these gouges all over them, not scratches but gouges. Is this how these coins are from the mint, or could they have been circulated?

I am just learning how to sew using a machine and patterns and I am finding it confusing. The pattern I'm working with says to use "stay-stitching" around the neckline, but I don't know what that means. I also don't understand why it calls for fusible webbing along the neckline and armholes. Can someone help?
