When my daughter's stuffed panther started developing holes on the body, we cut off the head an mounted it to a round wooden plaque to look like a big game trophy.
For a teddy bear, you could make it into a dolls bearskin rug or halloween costume or sew the head and paws onto a backpack.....sorry I couldn't come up with a site for that.

Its very good for smuggling. Just dig out the contents and stuff it with whatever you want to smuggle. Sew it back neatly and get a kid to carry it accross the customs. Viola! Sick joke!!!!
