Flying Bird Plane Thing?

Question

okay look. For science my son has to build a bird plane that can fly. He's being graded upon how far it flys.
The only things he can use are:
Tape
Glue
Feathers
Paper Clips
Straws
Toothpicks
Paper
Staples

Can anyone give me some ideas on how to do this???

It has to be able to fly, lol. thanks a bunch. 10 pnts to whomever can answer the best.

Try to make a paper plane and enhance it.
Or use the shape of a paper plane as basis for the bird-plane, specially if it is already bird-shaped, and build that out of strong paper:
