My son found a coin in the dirt in our backyard. It looks really, really old. The only thing is it doesn't have a denomination on it. It has the following wording:

American Louis Phillipe famous as a tariff advocate congressman vice president upon Taylor's death passed fugitive slave bill. 1850-1853 Millard Filmore 13 President.

It's alot of words and the coin is in pretty good shape. Words had to be read through a magnifying glass.

Coin is currently in a glass of soda to try to clean it up a little.

Does anybody know what the history is behind this coin and how much it's worth?

Thanks in advance!

Curious if any one in the Memphis area knows of craft stores, fabric stores or anyone who offers beginners sewing classes? I'm somewhat new to the area, and am not sure of all the small shops downtown to collierville and everywhere in between! Thanks so much!!!!

I have a Kenmore zig zag machine that's over 30 years old. Barely used by my mom, I have aquired it. It's in great shape except for the stitching. It will sew a straight stitch fine, but the bobbin thread is loopy and isn't forming a proper stitch. I've adjusted the bobbin tension and the upper thread tension. I have to finish a quilt for my 81 year old dad this month! Help. What can I try?

I can't boil the bottles because I'd be worried about the integrity of the plastic. I've read that alcohol should be used. I assume that's rubbing alcohol. Do I rinse it afterward to get the smell of alcohol out, or is the alcohol supposed to evaporate dry? Should I dilute the rubbing alcohol in water (distilled water maybe?) in a tub big enough to dip the plastic bottles in? What percentage should the alcohol be to still be sterilizing?

Any tips? :)

I have quite a few antique pieces I am planning to sell on E-Bay. However, I have no idea what any of the items are worth. I haven't found them on the internet anywhere. Does anyone know of a site where I can post pictures of my items and people with some knowledge can give information on it. Almost like an "online Antiques Roadshow" if you will. Thanks in advance!
