The mint just produced a non-circulation $1,000,000 coin.

There are also some $100, $200 and $300 gold coins produced each year.

The most valuable common coin you'll see each year in circulation would be the $2 coin.

It is a toss up with the 1911 silver dollar which is considered a pattern coin and not a regular mint issue and the new 100 kilos gold coin. The gold coin is made to order and even though it has a value on it of one million dollars it actually has $2,436,020 Worth of gold as of May 3 gold prices. The retail price will be much higher when they add in profit and how much it cost to make it. They will be made to order and the retail price is not yet available. The coin is made of .9999 fine gold. I am not sure what the last price was, on the 1911 silver dollar. It is usually not listed in regular Canadian price guides.
