Sellable hobbies?

What are some hobbies that result in something that can be sold? I never have any money, and I like to make things. So if I get like $20, can I buy stuff so I can make anything to sell?

Remember that most crafts cost more than they bring in, especially at first.

You can check with your own age-group about what are the upcoming crazes, or with the age-group of your brothers/sisters/kids next door.
Like, if you are the first in your area to make telephone jewelry, you can make a lot of money selling it, but if you start making them when everybody already has one, you will only loose on them.
Find the upcoming craze and step in, like offering to paint their skateboards or bikes, (you need only buy paint and brushes,) making bags, keycords or telephone holders, lighter jackets or whatever else is coming there.

To make craft things for the grown-up market is harder, the crazes are not as outspoken and there are more people moving in to fill them, but you can still make a lot of money if you hit the market at the right time. But it is going to be very local knowledge what is needed.
Fashion in what is popular is moving, sometimes east to west or north to south, sometimes the other way round and sometimes it jumps and spreads all directions from there, so it is imposible to predict what it is going to by near you.

I assume you are still in school or university, that is what I base my answer on, if you are older read 'kids' for agegroup.

Anything people couldn't make for themselves. What do you make better than anyone else that everyone asks for and some of your friends even offer you money for it?

You can also browse through catalogs and pick out something interesting, then improve it. I did that with one item and now it's my top seller.
