I need the bottom of the bottels smooth.

In the late 1970's, my folks had a special glass-cutter for bottles !! It was a "turning- table" that used two-cutting blades. It worked fairly well... but you always had to polish the cut-area after.

My folks turned dozens of bottle-bottoms into juice-glasses.

If you've got a blow torch your in business. Take the blow torch and heat the area that you want removed. After a few seconds take a cole piece of metal and press it against the area that you have just heated. Remember to rotate the bottle and apply even pressure. This should result in a clean break. Hope it helps!

Buy a bottle cutter. They cost around $12.

you need a special saw then you must sand the bottom on a sanding disk for glass.
