I'm doing a project with some elementary school aged students and I want to paint t-shirts. But I don't know what kind of paint would be best. Does anybody have any suggestion?

Check your local crafts tore, I do believe there are a special type of paint pens desinged for shirts/ similar fabrics.

okay after a little bit or surfing the NET..

i think the answer is Acrylic Paint. for the most part that website says its for fabrics and is washable.. that makes me think shirts..

good luck, but still research b/c I might not be right..

You can use anything labelled "fabric paint", or you can let them paint with brushes and liquid fabric dye. There is also fabric dye that you can spray on for a tie-dye look. It's non-aerosol. And of course there are fabric marking pens in lots of great colors. Your local craft store will have them all.

you can use dyes and fabric paints from michaels but you can also use plain old acrylic craft paints as long as you dont use them too thick, if they are thick they will crack. you can get textile medium to mix with them that makes them stay on better and not spread around as much when painting. you can also get spray paints for fabrics.
