In the early '70s the Government decided to sell off the remaining Carson City minted Morgan dollars that it had stored in the mint. The General Services Administration (GSA) packaged them in plastic holders that said "Carson City Uncirculated silver dollar" and sold them to the public. They sell for a premium today . Does anyone know what they cost back in the early '70s when the government sold them?

My father was just hospiltized due to swollowing his entire coin collection. He is in intestive care and is under death watch at the prestent time and it is unkmowm if he will survive. His docter looks really shady and I don't trust him. He said that the operation will cost about $5,000 dollars, and that its just a $500 dollar coin collection and it is not worth taking the extra effort to save them, but I think he is a greedy bastard that wants them for himself. However if I do pay for this operation which is garented to save my fathers life, my dad may give me more coins and make my collection bigger and more valuable. What should I do to keep him from taking all of the coins, because some of those are really valuable. I'm really scard right now, andf I woory about the coins safety, and it is unknown if I will ever see the again. I can't concetrate at work anymore because I'm so focused on the coins safe return to my hands! What can I do? Should I pay for the operation?

I have some quarters dating from 1934 up. The face value is $7. How much would I be able to sell them for? They are not in excellent condition and kind of dirty, but you can clearly see the dates on all of them. I checked ebay but it's hard to tell what they are worth. Also, should I try to clean them up, and what can I use? Should I sell them as a lot or individually?

I have been going out with my boyfriend for almost two years and I have decided to make a scrapbook of items I have saved from our relationship (i.e. letters, play tickets, movie stubs,) But I'm perplexed as to how to organize the book. What do you suggest?

Hello, I am trying to make a pillow for my friend. Its going to be her birthday soon. I already have the pillow made, except I haven't dyed the color and stuffed it. (I know, dye it, then sew.)

But I am wondering how would I sew letters and such using only a needle and thread. I don't have a sewing machine. I wanted to put her name and other things on it. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Also, do you think it will look good if I get the lettering right, or should I just get some patches?

It might be a little much, but I don't want a scronny single thread outline of the letter. Perhaps an outline outside of the letter too? If it isn't too hard to complete, but I'm determined.

I have somewhat of an idea, but need a little help.

Any good ideas for creative entries in a project I have to do for my social studies class? Okay, thats not specific enough. For this project we have to submit weekly 'journals" about the various books we read. For example, I recently made paper dolls of the characters in my book. I have done posters such as movie posters, wanted posters, and missing posters for characters in the books. I'v also done drawings and murals. Stuff like that...Any more ideas? Thanks in advance!
Oh, by the way I'm reading "Puerto Vallarta Squeeze" by Robert James Waller, right now.
