I believe it is not a token but a coin. The obverse has a woman facing left with REPVBLIOVE to her left and FRANCAISE to her right. On the reverse is RF and under it is 5 Francs. Below that is the date. They were minted at 2 mints, Paris with no mint mark and with a B mint mark at the Beaumont mint. It is made out of aluminum. KM# 888b.1 Paris mint value .20 to $3.00 depending on grade. KM# 888b.2 Beaumont mint .50- $8 depending on grade. These are a book price so you would get much less from a world coin dealer. Most American do not collect aluminum coins for they have it in their minds that they are a cheap thing. That on some coins, is far from the truth. You need to find a collector of French coins. Hope this answers your question.

It's a France 5 francs coin made of aluminium, and issued from 1945 to 1952 at a time of turmoil and strife in the French Fourth Republic after World War II. Here's the breakdown of the values :

=> 1949, Paris mint, no mint mark under wreath
Mintage: 203,252,000
Book value: Average circulated = $0.20 to $0.35, Nice circulated with luster = $0.75, Uncirculated = $3

=> 1949-B, Beaumont mint, B under wreath
Mintage: 48,414,000
Book value: Average circulated = $0.50 to $1, Nice circulated with luster = $2.50, Uncirculated = $8
