Go to a coin dealer. If you know your coins you can check out antique stores and pawn shops. If you don't know coins. forget the antique dealer and the pawn shops. Old coins is a very large subject and if you list what you are looking for, it would be easier to point you in the right direction. If you don't want to buy but need info you could go to Yahoo or google and do a search. Hope I have helped some.

I just went to an antique store. I found a gold mine of old coins, and I knew they were worth something, because I had done research on coins for sometime before finding them there. I found them in a case marked $25.00. The only problem was the old lady behind the counter said it was a mistake that they were thrown together, and would not sell them to me. Of course it had to have been an error, these were worth alot. But it wasn't my error, and she should of held up her end. My point - these cluttered antique shops never know what they have. It's a good start.

You could also try a local coin club. I'm sure members there would have coins for sale or trade.
