I started knitting a couple of months ago and I can only do the basics, cast on, knit, bind of. But I'm really good at it. I want to make a hat, but I can't find any directions that show me how to do purl stitch or ribbing. Thanks

I sew, I thought everyone learned how when they were kids! I don't bust out with homemade clothes but I could (although admittedly the first few would be fairly bad) But I sew rips and buttons and I generally hem my own pants after someone marks them for me. Isn't anyone else domesticated?

I have three silver, one dollar coins, that I found in my house when I bought it. The previous owner knew nothing about them and said since it was my house now they MUST belong to me.

They are all in excellant condition. The first is a 1921, the second a 1922 and the third is a 1923. Anybody know what they are worth or any collectors interested in buying them?

I'm a home maker and i'm bored to death! Does any body know of some good crafts that i can do at home that won't take up too much space and money? I really like woodsey stuff (like bears, moose, fish, pinecones, etc) and i'm expecting my first baby in August. I also enjoy yard decor stuff (windchimes, benches, bird feeders, etc) Your help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I have an old collection, not very large, but I've got a couple Kobe Bryant rookie cards and some other cards which could be of decent value. I know of Beckett, but you have to pay to get that monthly updated price book. Any suggestions as to where I could look to find the prices of my sports cards without paying?

I'm looking to buy some cheap plastic beads, like kiddie beads. Assorted colors and also alphabet beads. Where can I purchase these online? All I can find online are expensive glass/wood/gold/silver beads.

I'm trying to figure out how to do the skirt on a dress like this:

http://www.jordanfashions.com/products.asp?nCatID=6&nProductID=634&nPhotoID=16180

I went to my local sewing temple and the ladies there could not even come up with a name for it. It looks fairly simple, but I'm wondering exactly how it's done. And, searching the web using the term "pucker" doesn't come up with very decent results.

This is also the same type of skirt, on an older model:

Any suggestions?

I saw some of that stuff used on the DIY Network used for jewelry making. Does anyone know how to make stuff like this or know a good brand? Does fabric stiffener work with paper?
