i am knitting for the first time on circular needles and am making a beret for my daughter.

The directions say:
Cast on 80 stitches onto circular needles and work in rounds of K 1, P 1 Rib for 2 inches.
Next Round *K 2, M1; repeat from * around –120 sts. Change to circular St st and work for 6 inches.

My questions

does*K2 means knit 2 stitches?

M1 means to add a stitch, correct?

repeat from * means to knit 2 and add 1 stitch until my piece has 120 stitches, correct?

and finally, St st is to simple do regular knit stitch, right?

Please help. I can't go on knitting until I have answers. Thanks!

Pretty self-explainitory. When I cast on and start knitting that row, I get this long tail between the needles that gets bigger and bigger, and it gets so long on hats and stuff that it gets all knotted up.

I figured maybe if I tried casting on differently, it wouldn't be so bad? Suggestions? I just do a basic sling-shot cast on.

The reason I asked this question is because I am making handprints. You know those ones you see in the stores that you can get a kit for. Well, I have a craft book that has a recipe for it, and I was wanting to make my mom handprints from all of her grandkids.

my great grandpa gave my aunt this st. gaudens looking coin... i think its kinda rare because i've searched and read some magazines and books and couldn't find it anywhere...
she let me look at it only once and she hides it in her vault... so i got curious about it and rare coins... and please take note-- the actual size of that coin is almost like a standard cd, it is large for a coin, so i think its a rare coin because of its large size.. the year indicated there is in roman numeral so i had no chance of converting it since i only took a peek at it...

i also tried e-mailing other coin-related websites but got no response...
is it really rare?
how much is it?

it really bugs me big time, so please help... thanks... hope to see any helpful response...

I need to glue two pieces of paper together, one directly on top of the other. What type of glue or adhesive would work the best and would not cause crinkling and malformation that is caused by generic white glue. Thank you.
