If you have the DIY channel on cable or dish tv, there is a show called crafters from coast to coast. Each show features real people demonstrating their crafts or hobbies. This is a good resource for you because you can get an idea of many new and different crafts you may not have even heard of before and since they demonstrate it from their own homes, you can get an idea of the costs & supplies involved.

I would suggest something that doesn't cost a ton of money to start such as knitting, crocheting, plastic canvas, or cross stitching, or decoupage. Scrapbooking is always fun, but the supplies cost a lot of money.

If you want ideas or lessons on how to do these things, check out your local Michaels Arts and Crafts. They offer various workshops for learning how to craft.

It really depends on what you like and what you focus on. It's not something that you can just kinda ask people for. Anyhow, there are some good things that you can try though.

I really like handycrafts...like sewing, knitting, drawing, etc. Try knitting....low cost and only needles and yarn are required. My friend made a web page on how to do it...check it out!

Scrapbooking is always fun, but it does take a lot of supplies to get started. Or maybe cross-stitching, its kinda fun.
