Knitting is not as easy, but once you know it, it is. You need to learn how to get the first stitches on the needle and it would be better for you if someone could show you. Once you know how to knit you might find patterns on line, but I would go to a craft store and get a book with patterns, they show you also how to start. Persevere and you'll be fine.

Erics answer of knittinghelp.com is what I was going to tell you. The knitting videos are excellent. FYI, continental style is the easiest and fastest, rather than english style, so I'd stick with continental.
Have fun, it is SUCH a relaxing and enjoyable hobby!

There are lots of websites that help out. Lionbrand.com is a good one, but I have seen many others listed on yahoo answers.
Don't start out with a project off the bat. Find some yarn that you can just practice with. Then practice for a good while before starting a project.
Check out www.lionbrand.com and good luck!
