My girlfriend and I went to Mongolian barbecue last night and as you know they give you raw meat to choose from and cook it on a open grill. My girlfriend had some terrible dreams last night and I had a little bit of trouble sleeping. Im thinking that the food may have been undercooked. I also heard cold pizza before bed can cause bad dreams and I wasn't sure if that was true.

I read (with no source) that: The name alfajor is derived from Arabic الحشو IPA: [alḥaŝu], which means "stuffed" or "filled".

I was wondering if this is true and why it was used as the name for this South American food.

How do they kosher different big name foods like Tropicana, Coke, stuff like that. I always see the K on different foods. Does the guy come into the factory and just bless the whole factory?

I often buy food products from Asian markets, most of which are imported from China. Asian food is part of my life and it won't change but I can't help to worry sometimes because these markets probably sell some products that aren't safe but they aren't aware of or just ignore.

I want to make it at home, the ingredients on the bag that I normally buy my Spinache pie gives some of the ingredients but then it says something like ethnic spices, like I'm suposed to know what that means. I'm not sure if the company is Lebanese or Greek, but I think its Lebanese.
