Okay so I'm having Chinese tonight and I thought I'd pop the question which is what should I get on the menu? I know noodles with the chicken are a must for my kids my husband likes spicy food and we all hate egg rolls. Any good ideas?! All answers are appreicated

Usually on chinese menus they have a little symbol that says "hot" Usually the names almost says everything. Sesame is great but add more p&s when you get home.

But here are my thoughts:
Is it a restaurant where Chinese-Americans frequent? If so (and noone in the family has food allergies) get what they are eating, whether it is on the menu or not.
Szechuan shredded beef can be real good.
What don't you like about egg rolls? I'm wondering if pot stickers might be a good choice, or if you wouldn't like them for the same reason (they tend to have much more meat in the filling and if cooked properly aren't deep fried).

If you are a regular of that restaurant, I'll will suggest you try to order the fellowing item, most of this will not item on the meun unless you go to China Town or can read Chinese.

Chinese food is the best!!!!
You can't go wrong with Sesame Chicken, Orange Chicken, Teriyaki Chicken...
Wow, lots of chicken. Anyway, all kids will love these and same with adults!

Not every Chinese restaurant has these, but they are awesome. They are called Singapore rice noodles. Thin rice noodles with pork, shrimp, and vegetables. Very good and very spicy!

Try Shanghai curry noodles for your husband, crispy duck, pea pod leaves stirfried in a little garlic, any kind of soup, spring rolls, scallion pancakes....the list is endless.

General Tsao Chicken... your husband will love it, sweet and spicy
Glazed Walnut Shrimp
Some vegetable dish... broccoli and beef, maybe bok choy and mushroom.

Wor Wonton soup. I have never recieved a bowl which was not enough to fill me up and I am a BIG eater. Has a little of everything.
