I love making Asian fried rice and chicken dishes, but my attempts at Japanese fried rice and teryaki/hibachi chicken/steak/shrimp are definitely missing at least one important ingredient I just can't figure out. I've tried combinations of salt, white pepper, plum wine, soy sauce, oyster sauce, but I never get it right. I know this isn't "true" Japanese cuisine, but I gotta know either: What are all the ingredients in this recipe (the one with rice, egg, corn, carrots and peas)?. Bonus points if you know of a recipe including any of those ingredients I'm missing.

I would like to make an international dish for my hotel, but would like it to be Armenian. And not Tabouleh, I have already done that one. I have a bean salad already too. Something different.

Great Uncle Nick Klentos would make this desert for family gatherings...loved it ..but told when ask about was only done for special occasions, rarely sold commercially in restaurants...
was layers and layers of phyllo dough, with a creamy rich custard like filling in between and a touch of lemon flavour....PLEASE my forgive my attempt at spelling it...was something like gaba ta gorka ...not any thing at all like baccalava . He would take the whole day before making it, remember him rollindg dough oh so thin...and layering in pan.

My friend and I were thinking about this the other day I always thought that hamburgers and hotdogs were american foods but she says they're German. And then I thought maybe apple pie but wouldn't that already been created in England? Anyone actually know a traditional american food?

Not sushi. A whole life fish, not cut at all with some gravy on it and you just pop your fork into the body and eat the meat and the fish's mouth is still moving and the eyes are still " alive "

I love salsa, but was wondering if I can use it any other way that with tortilla chips.

I do like eating it plain.

I was watching a cookery programme where a male cook went to cook and have ameal in ajEwish family home. I noticed how you have seperate utencils/cook pots etc for dairy-non meat and sepeate for meat.

This family even had a seperate wash sink for non meat and meat. I thought Kosher was just like Halal where food is permissable to eat, but Kosher is quite different as its not just food wise but how you cook and where or in what.

Muslims have Halal diet where meat is prayed and then cut. No pork etc. But in places like an nhs hospital, Mcdonalds or restaurant how would you keep to a Kosher diet?

Muslims often find it difficult to find Halal food like burgers, but it must be difficult for Jewish to find Kosher in places like this.

I am just interested and find it a little strict. I am interested and not here to offend anyone.
thank you

I think it may be Chinese, but I'm not sure. This is the name of my favourite Chinese restaurant on Spadina Ave. in Toronto. The BBQ pork is incredible. We just call it "The Yellow Sign" because it's easier to pronounce, and, of course, the sign is yellow.

Not all sushi is raw fish (I know that) and I don't hate it because of the fish, I just hate it period. I think it's a bad compo of food all rolled in one.
I never liked it (I'm asian), but most people I know love it.
I don't get it...
Anyone feel the same way?
