few years ago I think I watched a documentary about Afganistan and they mentioned their food. mmmm everything looked so good!!!! I remember that its traditional to eat with right hand and their bread was thin, almost like a pancake and it looked like a pancake. well I cant remember well, but I'm sure it was something like this. I can still remember how that bread looks like. now I want one!!!! anyone knows what I'm thinking about?

I heard they like chicken but does it have to be raw. Would they like it cooked maybe with a little seasoning and teriyaki sauce, (I have some left over from lunch)

I'm doing the standard searches and have found a few recipes. Any personal recipes or personal recollections would be appreciated. Did the old folks in your family like it? (for the non- Italians: it is a sort of Puglian haggis!)

I want to tenderize some beef by soaking it in water(I think!) and I intend to use a mesquite smoke flavor liquid combined with tobasco and BBQ sauce.

(I'm re-asking because I couldn't edit my previous question and folks thought it was sweet and sour or one of the thin dipping sauces.)

Does anyone have the Chinese Restaurant recipe for the red dipping sauce provided with the hot yellow mustard?
I've tried ketchup and corn syrup. I've tried ketchup, corn syrup and horseradish, which made a passable cocktail sauce. Something's missing. I make really good homemade BBQ pork and the yellow mustard is no problem, but how I long for the red sauce!

...this isn't a sweet and sour sauce and it's not thin and transparent. It looks like ketchup. It tastes like ketchup magically enhanced and the recipe seems to be the same everywhere. It's the consistency of ketchup. I know different restaurants serve different sauces, but this one seems to always come with the BBQ pork slices.

What would people recommend I get at the Thai restaruant considering I am not really a vegetable person. I love meat. To give you an idea of the kind of thing that I would order at an Indian restaurant I would go for a tandoori chicken. Is there something similar to that at a thai place?

I want to order Chinese (the take out kind, not the authentic kind, lol) for dinner, but I lost my menu. Other than the standard crab rangoons and fried dumplings, I don't know what I want to order. What is your favorite dish??

It's so disappointing, I take my friends out for chinese and everytime i try to order something a bit more authentic... and all I get is either silence or a very quiet 'er what's that'. you know, chinese food doesn't have to be smouldered in red coloured sauce to be good. no wonder the chinese menus have no moved on for the last 30 years (or more) in the UK

It's the kind of peppercorns you can buy from a Chinese/Asian food market, but with all the news about the terrible toxic/poisonous additives found in food imported from China, I simply wonder if I can get something that's grown and processed here in the U.S.

In lots of Asian dishes, shrimp is served with attached tails. They are often hard to remove politely, especially when in sushi or soups, and then you are left with a plate of shrimp tails. So – are you supposed to eat them, or is it ok to pull them off and set them aside?
