I'm looking at a recipe for chicken curry and there are some ingredients (such as Garam Masala) that I have never heard of. So, is it generally spicy? Also, any good recipes are appreciated! I would like to try it, but there isn't a restaurant around that serves Indian food...so, I'll have to make it myself. Thanks!

What would you say is your favorite tasting caribbean food? And why?

I'm trying to come up with a Caribbean Menu for an upcoming restaurant.
All and any of the help is appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

I went to Italian Restaurant and had Chicken breast with mushroom sauce and I have never had such tender chicken breasts (they are usually dry). I did ask but they said it was chef's secret. Any ideas?

I am disapointed with my mexican brothers and sisters being hired to cook food thats unique to other cultures..this is not intended to be an attack on other races...but should we patronize businesses that advertise "chinese"..."soul" or "italian" and its actually mexican chefs?

I eat everything. I care about health too. I am not a gourmet. I can cook simple things but I am always busy with other things, so elaborate dishes don't make any sense to me. (Besides I feel happier with a tangerine than with a piece of cake). However, I would like to improve my cooking skills. Cooks out there, how did you learn what you know?

I wonder how is natto eaten. Is it just open up the frozen pack, mix it and eat or does it need to be heated up first?

Best greetings ~

I would like to know what are the minimum skills to have before I could
consider myself a good French cook ~~
~~~ things I would learn in France if I lived there
This would be regardless of region, although I would like to know also what regional techniques are important, if you wish to say....
Thank you very much
There is a British store in my city that sells all sorts of hard to find British food, tea, snacks, beautiques, etc. Why didn't anyone ever tell me that these products existed? Why aren't any of this stuff mainstream in the U.S. already? OMG, Star Bar candy bars are to die for. Marmalaide is delicious with toast. HP is an excellent sauce which goes on top of Shepherds pie which is to die for. And OMG have you tried these tarts by Holmfield Bakery? I can live off of those. Also for those who like Kit Kat, the British make a BIG KitKat bar where all you get is one giant bar. It's quite a tasty treat.
Why is it impossible to find this delicious stuff at American grocery stores? Why isn't this mainstream American already? I know it's expensive but that could be because it's made in England and labor is expensive over there plus it's like buying a specialty item.
Why wasn't I ever told about British food? I would have loved to have had British candy when I was younger.
I know its a matter of taste but I would like to have your thoughts! As one Korean girl told me that Korean food was much better and most Japenese would agree.
Other vegetables such as tomatoes and onions may be included as well as some additional condiments, but I would like it only mildly spicy. I have done some looking on my own but have not come up with the perfect recipe yet. It is for a wedding shower.
