Jelly fish. I had two servings of it before I found out what it was. It is delicious!

Brain (calf or cow, I think). I tried this in Morocco and the seasonings/taste were wonderful. The texture was a little strange to my palate, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. As someone else here said about the same food, had I not known what I was eating I think I would have enjoyed it tremendously. As it was, I did enjoy it, but I was very much aware of what it was and that it was strange to me.

Other than that I don't consider anything else I've eaten particularly strange. Raw fish (sashimi), raw beef (steak tartare), raw lamb (kibbeh nayyeh...man is that stuff good), liver, alligator, frogs' legs....I guess that is odd to many people and it's all stuff I love. But brain is the "oddest" I've tried, I think.

BALUT is a strange food to a lot of people but not to Filipinos. It's a fertilized duck egg with a nearly developed embryo inside that is boiled and eaten in the shell. Others dip it in vinegar and chili, but I like mine in just a pinch of salt. The broth inside the shell is sipped first before consuming everything inside the shell, that is, the yolk and the young chick with all of its beak, feathers,claws and bones ready to be savored. It is really very weird and icky to some, but it surely is very delicious. It was even featured in Discovery travel and Living Channel as the number one weird or strange food in the world. So weird that it was given to contestants of Fear Factor and Survivor Palau. Try it, you'll love it!

Ox penis , and that is not a joke!
I got that after surgery to help recover strength, actually was great!, they prepared in a soup with little roasted medallions and chunks of meat, potatoes and vegetable. I didn't want to try it at first but ended up eating a big bowl!

Anything tar-tar style; basically, instead of cooking the protein (meat) you use a mixture of vinegars and wines and citrus's to somewhat eliminate bacteria that flame or heat would do instead.
Tuna tar-tar is great...it's like sashimi.
Steak Tar-Tar is hard to find unless you make it yourself.
Sometimes the style tar-tar can be always use as Ceviche.

barbecued lamb's head. The taste wasn't that great, but there was something very primordial and uniquely human about holding onto an animal's skull, and gnawing away at the skull meat. It is probably how our prehistoric ancestor's ate.

Deep fried mountain oysters (from a carabu bull) I dipped them in ranch and they were good they kinda tasted like chicken liver.
