I need a good, easy to make dish to take to a friend's Christmas party. It can be anything... dessert, appetizer, whatever. Any recommendations?

I got a new box of swiss cake rolls at the dollar store today. The kids are driving me crazy cause its the holidays and blah blah blah.

Anyways, I asked him, and he said no. He was so snotty about it too. The back of the box SAID I could now have desert any time. Each package gives me 4% of my iron intake, which I need a lot of. I don't see what the big deal is.

Im going to cook some steaks on the Foreman Grill, but it isnt big enough to cook all of the steaks at once...

What is a good temperature to keep an oven so that the steaks will stay hot...but not keep on cooking the steaks?

One tip I really live by is ALWAYS keep saran wrap in the freezer, it peels off everytime you reach for it and you never have to fight the plastic wrap to unroll it.
Another tip I have is for making ice cubes - Save plastic foam egg cartons. By cutting off the top cover and placing it under the bottom half of the carton, you can completely fill the egg cups without worrying about spillage in the freezer. A slight upward push on the bottom of each cup ensures easy removal of the cubes. These disposable trays can be used two or three times before becoming floppy.

What is one of your household or kitchen tips that may not commonly be known?

I was just curious as I'm going to buy some for a friend of mine and I don't know if he would really enjoy it. Is it something that you have to be a wine lover for or does everybody pretty much like it?

I have an M&S Potato Gratin in the freezer which I had forgotten about. The instructions say you should freeze on day of purchase and consume within 1 month and the use by date is 10 Nov. As it's now 15th Dec, a month has already expired - is it still ok to use and eat?
