I am doing a cookbook on ghetto foods.My question what kind of ghetto meals can you make for your family.?

Tuna slop

2 cans tuna in oil, drained
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
3/4 can of milk
About 1/3 pound cubed Velveeta
A big handful of frozen peas
Garlic powder and pepper
Heat it all together until hot and serve on toast.

Take a piece of bread, put a slice of American on it, and a hotdog. Nuke for 35 seconds, fold the bread around it, add ketchup and eat, like if it was a real bun.

Hamburger Stew

1 lb hamburger
1 package frozen mixed vegetables
3 potatoes, chopped
2 cans tomato soup + 2 cans water
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
salt, pepper, garlic, oregano--add desired amounts


Cook hamburger, vegetables and potatoes separately, then add to pot with soup/spices; add cheese when soup is cooked.

it's sad how the addition of hotdogs can make a dish ghetto (eg spaghetti and hotdogs)

a cold scrambled egg sandwhich with mayo and extra ketchup.

*********BAKED BEANS AND HAMBURGER
1 lb. hamburger
1 c. onions
2 tsp. salt and pepper
2 cans pork and beans
1/2 can tomato soup
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. mustard
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Brown hamburger and onions. Add other ingredients. Mix, cover, and bake at 325 degrees for 35 minutes.
