He's described making it on Christmas Day in Stave Three of the novel. Bob serves it out after dinner and uses it for the Christmas toast.

my birthday is christmas and i need a drink i can drink all day, so it cant be heavy like egg nog because then i'll only be able to have a couple. i dont like things to have a strong alcoholic flavor but i would still like the effects of the alcohol. some drinks i like are: pineapple and malibu, kool aid and vodka, baileys, sex on the beach, midori sour/amaretto sour. i would like it to be a christmas-y drink if possible but i know alot of holiday themed drinks arent very strong or have things like milk and egg nog in them. NO BEER PLEASE! any ideas?? thanks so much!

Hello,
I recently purchased granulated Splenda to be used in a sugar free cheesecake per recommendation of diabetic co-workers. Upon reading the tips listed on the back of the package is the statement that the item should be consumed within 24 hours or the item should be securely wrapped and frozen. My question is: What changes occur in the item after 24 hrs? Does the sweetness evaporate or something?
Thanks in advance,
P. Fitzgerald

I am making some homemade jam and would like to also use the jam on cookies that I am making for a cookie exchange party. I am wondering if the cookies need to be stored differently, with the homemade jam. Normally I would not refrigerate, but without the preservatives in the jam, I'm not sure what should be done.

Thanks!

Not a culinary genius. We received a large ham as a gift but it is not labeled to say whether or not it is fully cooked. It was vacuum sealed and the juices were clear and it's very tender. I just made some into hamsalad (cold) and had a horrible afterthought i maybe shouldnt've have done that. Come to think of it, I don't think i've ever seen a large ham before it's cooked so....? Help please, I ate some and now need to know whether I should throw up. :)

A list of pubs in central London would be greatly appreciated. We are poor students on a mission of the alcoholic holy grail. Over the course of 2 years we are trying to visit as many pubs as possible inside the circle line limit! Is it possible to visit all of them?? How many are there?

It's a variety of pumpkin grown in Latin American countries, and probably elsewhere too, called a calabaza. I bought it because it looked intriguing in it's bright yellowness, and I also figure it's probably low calorie, low fat, and full of certain nutrients. Ok, but does it taste good?? Whats a good method for a novice to cook it?

I don't like to see a good animal that has passed on waste to nothing so I have got into the habit of picking up recently killed animals off the highway and then taking them home and preparing for my evening meal. My Wife and kids go mad at me but I think it makes sense - what are your thoughts?

This cake is one and the same, just 2 different names. My best childhood friend's mom used to make it and I haven't been able to locate the recipe. I remember that it was chocolate, had pecans and caramels in it. If anyone would share their recipe, I would appreciate it.

Thanks!
