When I cook or bake with cream cheese directions say to let it reach room temp. I left a package of cream cheese out over night but am now afraid to use it on my bagel. Should I throw it out or will it be alright to eat??

I know this is silly, but a friend of mine thinks that cheaper milk like the store brand milk is processed differently than a big name brand like Goldenrod and is not as good for you. Enlighten me!!!

eat an animal if it saved the life of two other animals?

Because if you didn't... would you essentially be killing the other 2 animals that could have lived had you eaten the first animal?

I really like Fish Tail organic amber ale. It's got good flavor, and it's also awesome for cooking with. Whats your favorite kind and why?

For Thanksgiving I had: Home made Alfredo sauce and pasta, Italian sausage with green peppers and onions, garlic sticks, make your own salad, and for dessert ice cream cake.

I want something for dinner at Christmas that will out do my Thanksgiving. I dont want to have a traditional Christmas dinner with turkey or ham because everyone else in my family fixes that. And one of my aunts fixes lasagna for Christmas eve dinner. I need enough food to fix for four people (my parents, my feiancee, and myself).

Okay, one important thing to note is that I am a 16 year old male, heavy build but still not much fat. I also am home schooled, so this means that I can do my school at whatever time of the day I so please. In other words, unlike most people, I don't have to fit my eating habits with my work schedule, since I have no work schedule.

With that said, what are some good ideas for things to eat? I can go to a grocery store and look around and have no idea where to start. There's so many options, and so many combinations possible with different foods (Meat + bread = sandwich, etc.) so I'm just looking for some suggestions.

Again, preparation time is not an issue. I've been known to spend 3 hours cooking a nice meal for my family. Yes, I'm... I am the cook of the house.

I have lots of recipe books, so I have lots of ideas for dinner, it's more breakfast, lunch and snacks that I seem stuck on.

One last thing to note - I go to bed at around 1:00am and wake up at about 10:00.

Thanks.

I'm having a few girlfriends over for a holiday get together this Friday night. What should I make? I am not a very good cook. I am a housewife with all the right tools, just not such a good cook. If not making it myself, then what can I purchase(Costco, carry out etc) and then make a few sides by myself?

This is what I'd do,

I would give that sorry sob the double middle fingered salute, kick him in the gut, and give'em a STONE COLD STUNNER!
And when JR behind me in the checkout line started shouting
"STONE COLD! STONE COLD! STONE COLD!"
I'd go to him and say, "I'm not Stone Cold!",
"But I am an sob!" and then give him a Stunner as well.

What would you do?

I was wondering if I'm the only one...but I've noticed that certain items that I used to buy on a regular basis are quite expensive now. I hardly purchse certain things anymore because they make my grocery bill too high.
I just wanted to take a survey of sorts to see:
~>What items have risen in price in your area?
~>What items (if any) have lowered in price?
~> Where do you live? (like what part of the country)
I live in Ohio and citrus fruits are SO expensive, I can only buy a few at a time. Nuts (walnuts, cashews, almonds) are also really high.Grapes are also getting up there. For me, nothing has gone down in price.
Thanks for your replies!

Do you enjoy dipping your french fries in your shake at McDonald's? Would you put peanut butter on your pancakes before you add syrup (my dad loves this)?

Maybe you like mixing salad dressing in your fruit salad. Whatever the case may be, what unusual (that appears to normally disgust others..or not) snack food or meal combo do you like to eat?
