RE:
I left cream cheese out overnight. Can I still eat it or should i throw it out?
When I cook or bake with cream cheese directions say to let it reach room temp. I left a package of cream cheese out over night but am now afraid to use it on my bagel. Should I throw it out or will it be alright to eat??

Normally I'd say "If in doubt, throw it out.". But cream cheese is pretty hearty. As long as it's been out in no lower than room temperature (70-72-ish), then it should be fine for your bagle. You won't get sick from it. Meat is another matter altogether.

Cream cheese has already been processed so if it sat overnight at room temperature, in its wrapper, there should be no fear in using it. If the temperature of the room was exceedingly warm( warm enough to start a bacterial action) you might want to throw it out. What is lost ? $ 1.50 tops?

Throw it out.. it was out over night and now its most likely bad.. Overnight is too long for something like that to sit at room temp.

depends on if you live in Cal. or Ct. how cold or hot is it in your house. This time of year my house is quite chilly and I can leave things out overnight and they are still cool in the morning. But if in doubt, throw it out.

Throw it out, just to be safe. If it's been out overnight then it probably has some problems already.

Toss it, never keep anything that has been left out overnight as you run the risk of food poisioning the longer a refridgerated item is left out.

I'd throw it out but then I don't take chances with food. I was a cook for 4 years.
