eat an animal if it saved the life of two other animals?

Because if you didn't... would you essentially be killing the other 2 animals that could have lived had you eaten the first animal?

Yes I would gladly eat one to save two (for Later).

Sorry about all the rude answers from the V&V regulars.

I think I may understand what you are asking.

One of my vegetarian friends once made a bet with another person. The other person was an omnivore who LOVES meat. My friend agreed to eat a cheeseburger if the other person ate a vegetarian diet for a month. The guy did it for a month, and my vegetarian friend ate half of the cheeseburger before he started violently puking it up. The two called it good.

Now why would my vegetarian friend do this? He is a vegetarian for moral reasons. He also know that in the course of a month that other guy would have normally eaten TONS more meat than that one cheeseburger. So, by agreeing to the bet he was greatly decreasing the overall meat consumption between the two of them for a month. He felt strongly enough about it to even eat something he knew would make him sick.

Now, I'm not saying every vegetarian would do this. But, to answer your question, yes, some would.

I don't understand how eating one animal could ever save the lives of 2 others. You mean instead of 2 chickens being slaughtered for 1 dinner, 1 cow could be slaughtered instead and fed to a couple families?
This logic is lacking.
No, I would not eat one animal, I will not eat any animal.

What makes the life of the animal I'm eating any less important than the two I'd be saving?

How could eating an animal possibly save the life of another one?? If you're saying you'd kill 2 if I don't eat one then go ahead... kill what you want and leave me out of it.

By the way, it's vegEtarian not vegItarian. Perhaps all that meat's clogging the blood flow to your brain as well as clogging up the arteries to your heart.

sorry, but that a rubbish attempt at psuedo-pychology.

You would not be resonsible for the death of the other 2 animals. The person who defined the artificial rules ( YOU ) would be responsible. Its you choice to enforce or cancel the rules.

This question has been asked a ga-zillion times before.

This question doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Are you threatening to kill two animals for every animal that I don't eat?

It's not possible to kill twice the animals that I don't eat because that number of animals does not exist.

So i was out to eat the other night and the waiter had his pinky fingernail grown out long. What is with the waiters and doing coke anyway? If you are a waiter (not a waitress) between the ages of 22-28 you pretty much do coke. Meanwhile, crackheads dont have jobs.

So, with option 1, animals die and I take part in it.

With option 2, animals die and I don't take part in it.

I pick option 3, in which I pray really hard that you receive a swift kick to the beanbag.

That's stupid. It would never happen.
If somebody tried to make you do that they're seriously screwed up.

I don't dislike the taste of meat... I just dont agree with the killing.
