I would like to get a bunch of Vegan cookbooks this holiday, I am already planning on getting "Vegan with a Vengeance" and "Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World." What other Vegan cookbooks should I get that will just rock my socks?

Okay, tonight for dinner Im cooking shrimp and mussles.
Its greenshell mussles in a halfshell. And the shrimp is shrimp cooktail in a bag. I was just wondering if anyone had any good ways to cook the shrimp and/or mussle.
Remember Im at home, so make it an easy recipe that doesnt require alot of special ingrediants.
Also what else would you cook with the shrimp and mussle?
Salad?
Mashed Potatoes?
Other?

Okay..Thanksgiving is over and i am left with a whole Gallon of Milk(regular),its expiring 4 days from now and i have NOOO idea what to do with it.
i HATE to trow it away(especially since the milk price is being raised so very often )!!!

I am having a party for my little girl...she is turning one! I am having brisket and sausage but I am not sure how many pounds of brisket and sausage I will need. So far I have a little over 50 people coming. Right now I have about 14lbs of brisket and 7lbs of sausage. How many pounds of each do you think I will need? I am also having baked beans, potato salad, chips and cake.

I made a 'healthy burger' at school a while ago, and I have just found the recipe again 3 yrs later. I have all the ingredients, but i've forgotten how to actually do the recipe.
Here's the ingredients:-
400g chicken or turkey [minced]
1 slice of bread
1 egg
tomato puree.

Can anybody suggest what I could have done with this/ I really want to keep this recipe as it was really nice at the time.. i just can't figure out how to do it? thanks

I learnt cooking originally, because I couldn't afford to eat out very often. I still can't, but the more I learn about food and cooking the more quality I require when it comes to shopping. And that has come to a point when I'm cooking more expensive than eating out at a middle-prized, good restaurant...

I am worried about my brother, he is 46yrs old, and divorced, lives alone, and has a good job, but stressful, and gets lonely. He drinks so much, i am always ringing him, and he is always intoxicated, no matter what time i ring. He comes home from work, and opens a bottle, and smokes probably 40 cigs a day. He has told me, he has dizzy spells, and chest pains, and has constant hangovers, which is getting him down. I rang him, last night at 7.30, and he was on his third bottle of wine, and drunk!! he asked me, if i think he is an alcoholic? I think he is.....his current gf, just finished with him, because she said hes a drunk. I am worried for his health. Is he at risk? or are his symptoms, just stress related?
