if there are little kids coming then you need some other things like maybe some candy or ice cream. little kids arent big fans of sausage and beans. you probably have the right amount of food.

Just to be on the safe side, I would get 2-3 more pounds of brisket and sausage. Better to have too much and give away or keep some leftovers than to not have enough.
You could also do something like buy rolls or buns for the brisket, which would fill people's stomachs faster and you would not have to buy more brisket.
Either way you go, it sounds like one hell of a party and I would love to go hehe =)
Congrats on your baby's first birthday!!

You love your little girl and you want this to be special. But I think having so many people around is going to upset/over stimulate her.
As for you sausage question I think you have enough try filling people up with side items such as potato salad and corn on the cob. The side you have chosen are good. If you make them available from the moment the guests walk in the door and bring out your main items 30 minutes or so after the last guest has arrived then all should go smoothly. Good luck.

I think you might have plenty, but just in case pick up a case of bubba burgers or some hot dogs. Also you might want to get some type of bread, IE dinner rolls or Texas toast. That will help fill your guest up, especially if you have that out as an appetizer, along with the chips and dips , and maybe a veggie tray.
My husbands mother is Hispanic and the 1st birth day is a very big deal. We did not have a typical "kiddie party" but an all out celebration for both of my children. So pay no mind to others who think you are going overboard. Just keep in minds no one will remember if you miscalculated the food portions, only if they had a good time or not!

I just had my son's 1st birthday over the weekend. We had less than 20 people there and it was MORE than enough. It sounds like you have plenty of food. Just keep in mind that the party is for your little girl, who will probably fall asleep mid-way through the party. Pay attention to her needs and make sure she has somewhere she can get some "down time", because she will need it!

You already have plenty of food for 50. I always think of 1/4 per person.

Wow that is way too big for a 1 year old. She'll be overwhelmed and not have any fun at all. Remember it's about your daughter, the most important part is that she enjoys it.
