I made a 'healthy burger' at school a while ago, and I have just found the recipe again 3 yrs later. I have all the ingredients, but i've forgotten how to actually do the recipe.
Here's the ingredients:-
400g chicken or turkey [minced]
1 slice of bread
1 egg
tomato puree.

Can anybody suggest what I could have done with this/ I really want to keep this recipe as it was really nice at the time.. i just can't figure out how to do it? thanks

Tear the bread into little pieces and then mix everything listed together with your hands. Make your patties and bake them.

Well, if I were guessing I would suggest that you tear up the slice of bread into small pieces and then add the tomato puree to soak into the bread. Add the turkey and egg and mix with your hands forming into patties with your hands as well and then frying up in a tiny bit of grease in a frying pan.

Take the bread and toast it or leave it out to dry. crush to form crumbs OR add milk to the bread and squeeze it out to form a doughy stuff.

Add the mince, egg, bread, and a TBSP of tom puree together and form into patties. Let the patties sit out for about an hour in the fruidge to form a crust of sorts.

Pan fry in olive oil. Season and eat!

TURKEY MEATLOAF

2 egg whites
1 c. bread crumbs or 1 c. dried stuffing mix
Salt and pepper to taste
Oregano, parsley flakes and onion flakes, about 1/4 c. each
1 can tomato puree pour half into mixture

Stir together. Add other half of puree after pouring meatloaf into loaf pan. Cook one hour at 350 degrees......or

make hamburger patties put cook in non-stick pan sprayed with pam. Serve on toasted bread or hamburger buns with lettuce and tomato and low fat mayonaise.

recipe may be reduced if using for burgers.

TURKEY BURGERS

1 package turkey meat
1 egg
1 cup teriyaki (or tomato puree)
1 cup bread crumbs (any flavor)

Put teriyaki in large bowl. Slowly add bread crumbs and mix. You don't need to use the entire cup of bread crumbs. Mix teriyaki and crumbs very well until a brownish moist bread crumb pile results.
Add turkey meat and egg to the large bowl. Mix well.

Use a mayo lid or pancake molder to form the perfect shaped burger. Put the burgers on a grill at a medium flame. flip several times until nicely browned.

This meal is low fat and delicious.

hope this helps. enjoy.

My guess would be to tear the bread into small pieces, whip the egg like you would for scrambled eggs the mix it all together and make patties out of it. Cook in a skillet
