A chef is a chef, and their body shape should have nothing to do with how well they cook! I've tried recipes from overweight chefs and skinny chefs and they're equally good. And you REALLY can't screw up soul food, can you????

Skinny chef. This may be unpopular, but here's my reason. A good chef is usually only tasting, busy managing, ordering, doing paperwork, and then cook all night. There's no time to eat, and really, when you see the same food for hours it just doesn't look appealing.

In my experiences, fat chefs are lazy, rude, slow, eat tons of their own food, and can only cook for 2-3 hours before getting winded. They're the ones who just come up with the recipes and have their line cooks and sous chef cook meals.

It's really not a matter of trusting one or the other. But I do know if we're talking SOUL food here, I know the fat chef is probably eating his cooked soul food and enjoying it. That tells me the food is good and I'm going for it too. Yes, and cooking soul food takes talent.

Thumbs up to chefgrille she is exactly right. I was a chef for many years. I won awards the whole nine yards. I am 6'4" and weight about 185 pounds.

Fat chef spent their time in the office, smoking, drinking and acting like the foul mouthed Gordon Ramsay.

A chef that is doing his/.her job has tasted all day long and doesn't really want to eat. Just like some of you that fix a big Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner and by the time it is done you reallly don't want to eat.

I would go with the fat one. Their passion is food. And to the other poster, you can definately mess up soul food. Believe me I've had some.
